Conditions of Entry

Members and non-members of the Packaging Council of Australia, end users, suppliers or any company which is involved in the design or manufacture of the package or one of it's components.

Is your package eligible?

The package must have been manufactured in Australia, unless unable to be produced here with the technology available or at a commercially acceptable cost. This fact must be detailed on the entry form. The package must be either already in commercial production or committed to distribution prior to July 20, 2007. Unless entering the Colorpak Packaging Export Award, the package is to be available on the Australian market.

Duplicate Entries - Duplicate entries entered by different parties will be judged as one entry. If successful with a Gold Award both entrants will be presented at the Awards Night with a designer trophy, in addition to certifi cates to all other nominated companies.

Eligibility - Refer to "Is your package eligible?" statement above. Insurance - It is recommended that entries of value be insured by the entrant. The Packaging Council of Australia will take all care, however, accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.

Judging - The judging panel has the discretion to change an entry in a selected category to an alternative category and/or place entries in an additional category. The decision of the judges will be fi nal on all matters affecting the Awards and no correspondence will be entered into on the subject of their decision. Companies or associated companies connected to a particular judge are permitted to enter work however, the judges in question are disqualifi ed from judging in that specifi c category.

Post Judging - All entries become the property of the Packaging Council of Australia Inc, ABN 65 058 780 591, unless specifically requested by entrants to be returned. The Council may, without further correspondence, use these products for promotional purposes.

Proprietary Information - It may be necessary for you to include proprietary information so the judges can fully evaluate the entry. Information clearly marked as confi dential will only be used by the judges for the sole purpose of evaluating the entry. Other information contained within the Entry Form may be used in preparation of material for press releases, Results Brochure copy, etc.

Publicity & Display - The Packaging Council of Australia reserves the right to publish details of the winners of the 2007 Australian Packaging Awards and to display any entry in any location, to photograph and show images of the entries and to make them available to other interested parties, either in Australia or overseas.

Results - All entrants will be advised by mail whether they have been successful or not by Thursday 2 August 2007.

Warning - The information supplied on the Entry Form & Claims Form will be used in preparing trophies, certificates and copy for publicity purposes. The Packaging Council of Australia will not accept responsibility for inaccurate or misleading information issued when using this information.
